Fishing

Whether you are camping at Riverside Farm or just visiting for the day, we welcome you to come and try a spot of fishing and unwind from the stresses and strains of everyday life. The river Arun runs around three sides of the farm with some beautiful, quiet spots to set up your equipment.

In the river you will find large carp, the record for Last year was 24.5lb and at the start of the this year we have already had a mirror carp pulled out at 18lbs. There's not only carp but also perch, barbell roach, and in fact most freshwater fish.

Anyone fishing at Riverside Farm must have a current fishing licence and use barbless hooks. Keep nets are not permitted and fishing is restricted to daylight hours (no night fishing).

We are lucky to have kingfishers living on the banks which are so beautiful to see, if your quiet they have even been known to have rested on the ends of fisherman's rods.

The dragonflies are plentiful and at night with a torch you can watch the bats skim across the top of the water catching their fill of insects.

Our onsite shower and toilet are available to all and ideally placed. We also provide drinking water and waste water points for emptying portable toilets and washing up bowls.  Electrical hook-ups are available if required.

We are an animal friendly site and welcome dogs on the farm.
